The focus of Career Fair is only on full-time, career opportunities which are undertaken by graduating students following completion of their academic studies, and by either recent or experienced alumni. Students who are not in their graduating year also attend Career Fair to learn about organizations and future opportunities which helps them better prepare themselves through course selections and work experiences prior to graduation.
Job Fair is focussed on recruiting for all types of positions including full-time, contract, summer, part-time or co-op, and employers must have positions available within six months of the Fair. Students from all years of study and disciplines as well as recent and experienced alumni attend this event to network with employers regarding employment opportunities.
Who can I expect to meet?
We anticipate between 2500 and 4000 students and alumni at each of our Fairs. These students and alumni are from a broad range of academic disciplines. See the Why You Should Attend webpage for more details.
What is the method of payment accepted?
We accept Visa, Mastercard and Amex payments online at the time of registration. If you wish to pay using a credit card but do not wish to do so at the time of registration, please contact the Fair Co-ordinator for more information. Cheque payments (in Canadian funds) can be sent to Partnerships For Employment, c/o 75 University Avenue West, Waterloo, ON, Canada N2L 3C5.
How can we ensure our organization profile and/or advertisement is in the print Guidebook?
The Guidebook is submitted for printing one month prior to the Fair with a print deadline for Guidebook profile submissions by employers of January 7, 2020. The profile submission is included in the cost of your registration fee and can be submitted through the Fair registration page on this website. Advertising supplements (at an additional cost) must be submitted by January 7, 2020. For detailed information on advertising supplements, please refer to Costs and Essential Information page. Profiles submitted after the deadline will appear online and in our app.
How is the print Guidebook distributed?
The Guidebook is received on the four campuses ten days prior to the Fair for distribution at the Career Centres; profiles are also available through the website and the Fair's mobile app. The day of the Fair, copies of the Guidebook are distributed to attendees at the Fair.
What is the booth size?
The booth is a 10' x 10' foot draped area with a 6 foot skirted table and two chairs. All exhibits and materials must be contained in this space. The entire exhibit space is carpeted.
What if we require a larger booth?
You may register for a double booth. No discounts are available for a double booth. [top]
How do students get to the Fairs?
The four institutions provide free bus transportation throughout the day between the campuses and RIM Park Waterloo. Public transportation on Grand River Transit, route 202, is also available if students prefer. Parking is free at the event; if the main lot is full additional parking is available off University Avenue.
Can I ship booth materials ahead of time or after the Fair?
You can ship booth materials in advance of the Fair to RIM Park Waterloo no earlier than February 3, 2020. Please refer to the Shipping and Handling Procedures for details. It is the responsbility of the exhibitor to remove all materials from the facility by 4:30 pm on the day of the Fair. If you are shipping booth materials from RIM Park Waterloo, you will need a completed waybill on each item for shipment. You will also need to notify your courier and wait until the courier has arrived to pick up your materials. [top]
How long will I be a Featured Employer on the Partnerships for Employment website?
Your organization will be featured on the Partnerships for Employment website for six weeks after the fair.[top]
